Hadlow Helpers February 2019

A big thank you to the volunteers from Arrowebrook Division who braved a chilly and snow day at Hadlow at the first working party of the year.

Everyone kept warm while cutting back the very over grown hawthorn hedge from Nuthatch campsite all the way up to Badger site. Following a short tea and cake break the volunteers then set to work clearing the brambles along this stretch of the field. Hopefully by the summer this area will have returned to grass for campers and the fairy trail should be much lighter.

The trees around cedar campsite received some TLC as much of the ivy was cut back and removed. The fallen wood from the recent high winds was moved to Cedar in preparation for the installation of the new log stores on to the gravel area.

The volunteers were treated to hot soup and sandwiches with more cake at lunchtime to keep them going in to the afternoon.
